Hidden Villages
This tour takes in some of the smaller, quaint, lesser-visited villages and hamlets surrounding Buxton which have fascinating histories and were important in the development of the region. Your visit to these charming villages will present a hidden glimpse of our past and an understanding of the Peak District beyond the well-trodden tourist routes and capture something quintessential in the slow, unhurried, rural pace of this part of Derbyshire, so don’t forget to bring your cameras!

A Road Well Trodden
This tour takes you to Chatsworth and back. We follow in the footsteps of 16th, 17th and 18th century travellers telling tales along the way and taking in some beautiful views. Learn about the landscape, noteable characters and the industrial heritage of the Peak District. Our route takes you up into the hills, down along the Wye Valley and to many of the picturesque beauty spots in the White Peak.
At various points along the route there are places of interest to stop to make a day of it.

Wonders of The Peak
The ‘Seven Wonders of the Peak’ was a tour often taken by Georgian and Victorian visitors to the area to impressive sights and mysterious natural ‘wonders’ in the Peak District which include “two fonts, two caves, one palace, mount and pit”. On the tour we take in six of the seven original wonders - two of which, Poole’s Cavern and St Ann’s Well, are in Buxton - plus quite a few that we’ve thrown in ourselves (the seventh original wonder, Chatsworth, has a tour all of its own). We venture through the impressive scenery of the High Peak telling the history of the landscape, people and visitor attractions as we go. This is an enjoyable drive with many options for additional activities to make it a wonderful (pun intended!) day out!
