Lower Town History & Heritage Walk (Groups)

The Tour

Leaving from the Buxton Opera House (unless payment is required, in which case, the tour will leave from our Booking Office in the Pavilion Gardens), we head to the Old Hall Hotel, and then to St Ann's Well to sample our famous waters. We explain the history of the Crescent and then go inside the old Hot Baths, now the Cavendish Arcade, to see past and present nestling together. Passing through the Quadrant we stop to see Clowes Pharmacy before heading up to the Devonshire Dome. From there, we return to our starting point via The Old Courthouse and Buxton Opera House.

Please note, the route may vary depending on the tour guide and time of day.
