Discover Buxton cordially invite you to Ashleigh, 157 Park Rd, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 6SW, a lovingly-restored Victorian home dating from 1875.
Come and step back in time to early 1876 and join us for tea and crumpets served in the magnificent dining room and hear the gossip of the day before being ushered into the parlour, lit by oil lamps and the light of a roaring fire, to eavesdrop on a Victorian conversation between the eminent physician, Dr Robertson, and his trusted housekeeper, Agnes.
Tea will be served upon arrival followed by an introduction to the house and the performance, with the whole experience lasting approximately 2 hours. Strictly limited to 16 people. Cost £20pp.
Please feel free to dress in Victorian attire, although modern day dress is perfectly acceptable, and arrive promptly to be greeted by Dr Robertson’s servants.

The driveway of the property is quite steep and there are a few steps up to the door and then inside the property. The performance takes place on one level.
